And I say, it’s alright.

Greetings, beloved —

I’m writing to you as the sun warms the small of my back, like a Lover’s gentle and reassuring hand. My 60 liter Osprey pack is filled to the brim with snacks, layers, and a pair of crampons that will bring me to some spectacular places within and beyond myself.

Sharing this issue of REPRISE with you is the final item on the to-do list before I officially enter the space of to-be. I’ll be sending a whole lot of love to you as I place one foot in front of the other, over and over and over again. May your daily motions, too, be a devotion to something far greater than ourselves.

Last week, I wrote about chaos, the energy of Tammuz, grief, and more in Split open and melt. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read it before carrying on.

Split open and melt.

Split open and melt.

I want to share a heartfelt thank you to every person who takes the time to read, and especially those who reach out. Connecting with others through shared vulnerability is a beautifully circular system—to witness another in their journey as we ourselves are witnessed, to see ourselves in one another—THAT is collective, liberatory medicine.

Last Saturday’s new moon initiated the month of Av, the twin month to Tammuz in the Hebrew calendar. Av, a season of rebuilding love after loss, invites us to find hope again.

I hope the resources that follow support you in tending to your sorrow, simply the other side of joy. I hope you remember that we enter into this world in grief—pushed from the comfort zone through a dark, cramped passageway, our first breaths drawn into a screaming cry. I hope you remember that Av is symbolized by the letter Tet (ט), the shape of the womb, quite literally there to catch us as we drop through the bottom of Chet (ח). I hope you remember that you already know when it is time for a change.

I hope you consider becoming a paid subscriber or leaving a one-off token of appreciation to help expand this work. I hope you know how grateful I am to be among the recipients of your attention—the most valuable form of currency.

With trust and surrender to the Great Unfolding,

Iz
